Kate started doing Pilates 'as a participant' in her early 20s - using this form of exercise to improve her running performance. She quickly found that Pilates provided enormous benefit beyond what she anticipated - building strength, mobility and endurance. Inspired by her fantastic instructors, Kate qualified as a Mat and Reformer instructor - through the YMCA in the UK. Kate loves Pilates and it's unique ability to connect body to mind and being able to create movement and body awareness which are so easily translated to increase ease when performing day to day tasks. Kate likes to combine and strength and stability exercises in her classes - with plenty of focus on the core, co-ordination and posture! Fave exercise? Anything involving back extension!
